Three Denver Broncos defenders — Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr., and Aqib Talib — were named first-team All Pro by the Associated Press…

The Denver Broncos’ defense has been stellar for three straight years, and three main reasons for their success are Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr., and Aqib Talib.

All three players were named first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press, which is comprised of 50 votes for each position. Both Harris and Talib were also named first-team All-Pros by Pro Football Focus as well.

This is a very prestigious recognition for these three players, who did indeed ‘ball out’ as Cameron Wolfe put it. They have provided a model of consistency for this defense which has translated into one of the most dominant pass defense units we have ever seen in this league.

Of course, Miller leads the way up front, getting to the quarterback 13.5 times this season with three forced fumbles. Miller is the Broncos’ heart and soul and signed the richest contract ever for a defensive player this past offseason.

Harris and Talib are the best cornerback duo in the NFL, evidenced by this recognition. Were it not for an injury earlier in the season, Talib might have received some defensive MVP hype this year. He was playing outstanding football, and picked up where he left off when he came back.

Harris has been phenomenal for the Broncos since coming to the team as an undrafted player in 2011. This is the first such recognition for him as well, but he could have been an All Pro every year since 2012/13. He’s been exactly what the Broncos have needed in passing the torch from a former All Pro, Champ Bailey.

Congratulations to these three players — you have earned it!
