The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs are in the middle of a big battle here on Sunday Night Football. Here are my reactions to the first half.

The Denver Broncos trail the Kansas City 9-3 going into the half.

If you wanted a true defensive battle, you’ve come to the right place. It has been a picture-perfect game if you like defense.

I will take a look at the first half and give my reactions.

Ty Sambrailo is clearly outmatched

Perhaps the most negative part of the Denver Broncos offense has been the line. What else is new?

But the worst of them all has been the play of Ty Sambrailo on the pass rush. Before Justin Houston went to the locker room, he was having a field day.

Luckily, Gary Kubiak had enough with Sambrailo and decided to bring in Donald Stepheson. So, that little experiment is over.

Broncos drive to get three points after allowing nine

Perhaps the most gut wrenching moment for the Denver Broncos started with Jordan Norwood muffing a punt. It pinned the Broncos inside the ten yard line.

In turn, Kansas City was able to get nine points before the offense even went back onto the field. A safety led to a free kick return for a touchdown. It gave the Chiefs a 9-0 lead.

However, the Broncos were able to bounce back and drive down the field and score on a Brandon McManus field goal.

Other than those two instances, there is not a lot to report. The Broncos are completely dominating on total offensive yards 124-50.

But the difference came on the safety. Special teams and offensive line would have to be the Achilles heel to the Denver Broncos.

The Kansas City Chiefs will have the football to start the second half. Have faith Broncos County. They can win this game. Can the offense get better success? Let’s hope so.
