The Denver Broncos decided to stick with what they had on the current roster as today’s 2 PM MT NFL Trade Deadline passes.

When it comes to the trade deadline for most major North America sports leagues, they are a chance for a contending team to get the pieces they need in order to make a serious run at the playoffs.

For the NFL, the trade deadline is usually a quiet time.

Like most of the NFL franchise this season at the deadline, it was quiet in John Elway’s office. The team traded with the New England Patriots last week to get tight end A.J. Derby, but no big splash otherwise.

More from Predominantly Orange

The only reason that I would be surprised is with two or three names that could have been linked to the Denver Broncos in trade talks. The offensive line has look offensive, so the hope is that the Broncos would look to see what Joe Thomas and Joe Staley’s trade value was.

Another name Broncos fans wanted to see wear the orange and navy is New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson.

I honestly think the defense is doing alright, but they need to get out of the funk of allowing an opening drive score.

The Broncos have two road games against the Oakland Raiders and New Orleans Saints before they go on their bye week. If they can survive this road trip and be 8-2 after these next two weeks, there will be plenty of optimism in the city of Denver.

For now, we shall see if this roster can complete the ultimate goal that the other 31 teams are hoping for.
