Breaking News: The Denver Broncos and Emmanuel Sanders have agreed in terms to a three year extension, keeping him in Denver until 2019. I give my takes on what this means for the Broncos.

Emmanuel Sanders was going to be the biggest in-house free agent for the Denver Broncos after the 2016 season. John Elway made sure that did not happen.

The news broken by the Broncos GM himself, the team has agreed to a deal with the wide receiver on an extension. According to NFL Network, he will earn 33 million for three years after his first contract expires at the end of this season. This deal keeps Sanders with the Broncos until 2019.

All I have to say is yes! The Denver Broncos now have their two wide outs in Sanders and Thomas locked up for a solid period of time. This will help the team in so many ways.

First, it helps Trevor Siemian or Paxton Lynch (whomever ends up becoming the long term quarterback) some solid weapons in the passing game. Having a veteran presence in the wide out department for a young quarterback will really help his progression.

This also helps out the Denver Broncos. With Sanders signed, the only two biggest impending free agents on the roster are linebacker Demarcus Ware and nose tackle Sylvester Williams. Depending on Ware’s decision and status, he could be the next player to look at.

The deal also helps Emmanuel Sanders continue his career with the Denver Broncos. And he has said time in and time out how much he wants to be a Denver Bronco.

In his two seasons with the Broncos up to this point, Sanders has racked up over 2,500 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns. He has had quite a productive two years in the Mile High City.

Congratulations Emmanuel Sanders. One day before the regular season kicks off and he has a bright and shiny new contract extension. We look forward to you balling on the football field in 2016 and beyond!
