In perhaps the biggest roster move so far, the Denver Broncos have parted ways with running back and full back hybrid Juwan Thompson. I give my take and reactions on the move.
It looks as if Juwan Thompson has fallen victim to a crowded backfield.
The Denver Broncos have made a tough decision and parted ways with 2014 undrafted free agent Juwan Thompson. This is, in my opinion, the first shocking cut as the team looks to get down to the required 53-man roster by Saturday.
For some, this is a disappointment to see him go. Others say the writing was on the wall. I have to agree with both sides on this.
On the disappointment side, Juwan Thompson was perhaps one of the nicest players you will ever meet. His hard work and determination to making an impact on the Denver Broncos was one that I was really impressed with. And as Robin Carlin mentions below, Thompson was one of the nicest players she’s met.
Victim of a crowded backfield, but hands down, one of the nicest #Broncos players I've ever met. https://t.co/Fd9Y3b9jt8

On the other side, Juwan Thompson fell victim to a crowded backfield. With C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker appearing to get the most of the carries this season, the only way Thompson could make the roster at first, he would have to move to full back.

However, it looks like Andy Janovich will be the lone full back on the roster. It is really a shame to see such a positive player leave.
I would be really surprised if Juwan Thompson is not picked up by another team. I see him making another roster for any other team in the NFL that could require a bruiser at running back or a full back.
We wish you the best of luck Juwan Thompson. Hopefully your career will be long and successful. For any team that is looking, he will be a great addition.
