In a unsurprising move the Broncos have added more to depth their roster. The position, to which, the Broncos made a move is a shocker. Marlon Brown has been added to the roster.

The team already has Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Bennie Fowler, Cody Latimer and Jordan Taylor as likely choices to make the team. Brown’s addition would have to spell the end of Latimer’s career with the Broncos or Norwood who made his presence felt in the Super Bowl against Carolina.

Yet, there could be packages Brown might be utilized. Broncos were 28th in Red Zone Percentage at 46.15% and six feet five inches and 214 pounds; Brown could see himself used in that area where the Broncos need to improve this season.

His most productive year came in 2013, totaling 49 catches, 524 yards with seven touchdowns. It is conceivable the Broncos could make a concerted effort to be better in the red zone.

This may not be the only move the Broncos make heading into the opener against Carolina, but this signing should not surprise fans because of the history of the team’s front office.
