Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is trying to keep his work habits the same as he tries to win a starting job this offseason…

Yes, it is my birthday (June 20) Broncos buddies and like other professionals, when it happens on a weekday, I go to work as per usual. Anyway, this is probably the most meager time of the season for Broncos news so if there’s anything I can snap up, I’ll do my best to share the message.

In a report from Pro Football Talk, Denver Broncos aspiring starting quarterback Trevor Siemian says he’s “trying to keep the same mindset and remind [myself] what got [him] to this point.” Here’s the report right here.

In previous statements, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak has said that Siemian and fellow aspirant Mark Sanchez have “looked each other in the eyes the whole offseason,” and are on par with the Broncos’ 2016 first round draft pick, Paxton Lynch out of Memphis.

Understandably, this is a new situation for Siemian as he served the entirety of his 2015 rookie campaign as the third quarterback behind the now-retired Peyton Manning and current Houston Texans signal-caller Brock Osweiler.

Nevertheless, he told the Denver media that he plans to be himself, rather than Manning, Osweiler, or anyone else.

Rather, the 6’4″ 220-pound strong-armed slinger out of Northwestern, is focusing on getting more comfortable as a leader and learning how to adapt to the “quick turnaround.”

Siemian was glorified with many qualities coming out of Northwestern, as you can read in this FanSided post http://nflspinzone.com/2015/05/11/denver-broncos-lot-like-qb-trevor-siemian/, and both Kubiak and Broncos general manager/executive vice president of football operations John Elway, have been highly impressed with his deep ball in workouts.

While Sanchez has 72 starts to his credit in time spent with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles, Siemian may just have what it takes to be the quarterback in Denver.

As camp draws closer and closer, we’ll soon have the chance to see things for ourselves.
