With the final day of the 2016 NFL Draft upon us, let’s take a look at some of the best players remaining on the board and see which ones fit the Broncos with their six remaining picks.

Day 3 of the 2016 NFL Draft is expected to start within the hour and for the Broncos, Day 3 represents a great opportunity to add depth and possibly, some future stars to their roster. Denver has a great track record of finding gems in the later rounds of the Draft and I expect the Broncos to find another great player or two today.  With six selections in the remaining four rounds, the Broncos have the flexibility stockpile depth on the roster and/or go after impact players who have seen their stock slide.

The positions at which they’ll address today will be debated, but make no doubt about it, this organization will find some great talent to add to the roster. With that said, let’s take a look at some of the highest rated player left on the board heading into day 3.

Amongst the players listed in that article, I believe that these specific players should pique the Broncos interest at some point today.

OFFENSE: Devontae Booker, Paul Perkins, Daniel Lasco, Jordan Howard, Tyler Ervin, Rashard Higgins, Malcom Mitchell, Joe Haeg and Christian Westerman.  The highlights of that list have to be Devontae Booker and Christian Westerman.  The Louisiana Tech RB is a well built player with good college production and has a game that translate well to the pro game. He wouldn’t be a starter with the Broncos, but he does have starting caliber upside and would be a great reserve back behind CJ Anderson.

As for Westerman, the ASU product has the ideal size and technique to be an interior Offensive Lineman in a Zone-blocking scheme.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see him be taken by the Broncos in the 4th round, if he makes it to their pick. He would be a great value pick at this point in the draft and certainly be a guy that could be a starter, down the road.

DEFENSE: Andrew Billings, Sheldon Day, BJ Goodson, Jalen Mills, Juston Burris, KJ Dillon and Tyvis Powell.  Billings is the most well known player on the list, as we was widely projected to be a top 50 pick for much of the Draft process.  In a deep Defensive Line class, a player like Billings may have been overlooked and has consequently been dropped into day 3 of the Draft.

It’ll be interesting to see who the Broncos pick up with their remaining picks on Day 3 of the NFL Draft but make no doubt about it, the Broncos will find a gem or two today like they seemingly  do every year.  Keep up with Predominantly Orange for all of your NFL Draft coverage!
