With the Denver Broncos 2015 season officially closed, I take the time out to send out some thank you’s to the best fan base that I have ever met in the final Broncos fanzone article of the season.

Well Broncos Country, we got to see our team hoist the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in 17 years. It sure has been a long time coming. We have seen success and failure throughout the long and difficult years.

We’ve seen Jake “The Snake” Plummer do his best to bring the city of Denver a championship. We saw Champ Bailey’s career through Denver and how great it was. There has been great things before the Super Bowl.

But there was also the bad. Mike Shannahan’s firing, the times of Josh McDaniels, two ugly season’s in the NFL including 1999’s 6-10 and 2011’s 4-12 season. The heartbreaks in the playoffs and the disgusting Super Bowl 48 game. But now, after 17 long years, the Broncos are back on top of the NFL world.

Despite the lack of respect for the organization, even with a new championship, Broncos fans continued to support their team and it has all paid off.

For this final Broncos Fanzone article of the season, there will be no interviews. No questions. None of that. I want to take this time to thank the loyal Broncos fanbase for sticking with the team through thick and thin. Through all the good and the bad, you never lost hope.

I also want to thank the individuals that made the Broncos Fanzone interviews so successful. They know who they are. And they were so kind to take time out of their schedules and answer a few short questions about the team and the week’s opponent.

Also, thank you to the individuals who asked me to come on a show or a podcast or to talk Broncos. I got to use my knowledge to talk to them about the game during the week.

I also want to thank my family. While we were not able to watch every game together, (being an east coast Broncos fan has its flaws) we band together to watch anytime the Broncos game was aired on television and I would keep them updated on games that were not aired.

Not many Broncos fans live here in a town where most are Eagles fans, but I had my family for that.

I also want to thank all the wonderful friends that I have met on Twitter. Living on the east coast allowed me as a writer and a fan to interact with a lot of Broncos fans. I think I can say that I got to develop a bit of a family as well.

Thank You for all the laughs, the memories, and all of that jazz. It means a lot to be able to connect with a lot of you wonderful people. This is not a farewell, just a thanks for the season. It was truly a special one.

So, it is time to close the book on the 2015 season, and look forward to celebrating and preparing for next season.

I look forward to covering the offseason and the draft. It should be interesting how this team changes in a matter of months. But here’s to hoping that it results in one thing… A back-to-back championship. Go Broncos!
