The Denver Broncos trail the New England Patriots 14-7 going into the half. This has not been going well for the Broncos. Even though they have played well, they have not been consistent as far as keeping the drive alive.

Here is my quick takes on the first half thus far in a snowy Mile High first half game.

Patriots get off to a quick start

The Denver Broncos went three and out on their first drive, and the Patriots took advantage as Tom Brady and Rob Grokowski would connect to start the scoring.

I noted earlier this week that the Broncos need to focus on Gronkowski with the wide outs limited with injuries. However, it has not worked so far as Gronkowski has four receptions for 52 yards. In the second half, the Broncos need to do a better job at containing them.

We shall see what second half adjustments they make, but hopefully they can control Gronkowski.

Broncos score late in the first half

The Broncos scored late in the first half when Ronnie Hillman ran it in from 19 yards out to make it a 14-7 game. While the Broncos have struggled a bit on offense, the rushing game has done pretty well.

With the Broncos rushing attack getting better with Osweiler under center, it could help the Broncos get better when it comes to getting a few extra yards from seeing the entire defense.

How will the Broncos execute in the second half? I suppose that the Broncos will have to answer that when it comes to the second half.

The Denver Broncos will kick it to the Patriots to start the second half. They will need a second half performance to beat the Patriots! Go Broncos! Let us see if they can fight for the home field advantage!
