It is an annual event within this generation (the fifth consecutive year they have met in the regular season) but the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots reconvene Sunday night. Much to the delight of Broncos fans, this regular season meeting occurs at 5,280 feet, a rare occurrence in recent memory.

In any event, if the Broncos have any designs of gaining the AFC’s #1 overall seed, this game is an absolute must-win and personally I think they get it.

The Patriots’ logo should have a bandage over its eye because New England is down so many offensive weapons, such as tailback Dion Lewis and receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola who as reported Saturday, would not make the trip to Denver for the Sunday Night Football marquee match-up.

The Broncos have reason to be optimistic because quarterback Brock Osweiler fared well in his first action, having only seven incompletions and no turnovers in frigid elements at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

The Broncos will be without Demarcus Ware and Peyton Manning for the second straight game as both are still recovering from injuries. The list of following players that will be out for the game are listed below.

Comparably cold weather is coming to Denver, as 3 inches of snow are expected to fall but the wind should be a non-factor. Osweiler has more weapons healthy than Brady does and the Broncos’ defense is still #1 in net yardage given up per game (284.3) and in passing yards surrendered (190.6). It is also second in points given up (18.3) while oddly enough, the Patriots are first in that at 18.2 points surrendered.

Thus, let’s have a Broncos victory. I am not a liar and Patriots fans really irk me, especially this season so be nice if you want to if they come around. You have your freedom of choice. GO BRONCOS!!!
