All I can say to start this off is that whatever happened in today’s game, the Broncos need to fix it and get right back to the drawing board.

On a day where Peyton Manning passed Brett Farve for most passing yards in NFL history, that was the only thing that went well for Manning in the game as he would throw four interceptions and was benched midway through the third quarter for Brock Osweiler.

The Chiefs forced Manning into multiple mistakes and could not get things going from the start. Coach Gary Kubiak mentioned in the post game that he should have let Manning sit for the game because he felt like he was not fully healthy.

It is interesting that he said that. Seeing Manning try to play for the Broncos while injured was not good at all. I will go out on a limb and say this was without any doubt Manning’s worst game as a Denver Broncos’ quarterback. Maybe even in his career.

If things were not bad enough, T.J. Ward was ejected from the game after punching Jeremy Maclin in the head during the last touchdown allowed by the defense. I would not be surprised if Ward ends up serving a suspension for his actions. The defense has developed the “Thug Status” and it is not a pretty look.

If there is any silver lining to all of this, Brock Osweiler was pretty solid in relief. Minus the drive that ended with an interception in the end zone, Osweiler did well for the Broncos offense. He drove them down the field and got them two touchdown’s. One from Ronnie Hillman and one from Osweiler’s arm.

Next week is a huge game for them as the face their former coach John Fox and the Chicago Bears. The Bears have a lot of former Broncos players and they have beaten every AFC West opponent so far. I would not be surprised to see some “Kicking and Screaming” from the Broncos next week in a crucial road game.
