Peyton Manning and Broncos Duke Workouts Begin

It’s that time of the offseason for Peyton Manning and a select few of his Denver Broncos teammates — the vaunted Duke workouts have begun.

With Demaryius Thomas holding out of offseason activities right now, it was a lot of new faces at the Duke workouts, including Cody Latimer as you see above, Virgil Green, and Owen Daniels.

This post is not to make too big of a deal out of the workouts, but people (like me) are apparently really interested in it. I’m not sure what other players were there other than Andre Caldwell, but it would be ice cold if these guys didn’t invite the running backs along, especially Juwan Thompson who played college ball at Duke.

These workouts are done offsite so the players can get together and work on timing, build chemistry, and generally become more cohesive as a unit.

It’s also a great opportunity for Peyton Manning to be able to meet Owen Daniels and get to work on football matters. This type of ‘extra mile’ work by Manning is one of the reasons fans love him so much. The guy has such a phenomenal work ethic, and this is simply an additional evidence of that.
