Michael Dopheide, AKA Dipitydawg, AKA the Mayor of Broncos Country, has gathered a few of us to end hunger.

As he says, no one should have to be be hungry, but especially for the holidays.

That’s why he is once again starting a campaign called Touchdowns to Drive Out Hunger. Now, with the help of Food Bank of the Rockies, Broncos Country can do its part.

Below is his campaign and how you can help.

"Last year, on Twitter, @dipitydawg suggested that Broncos Country come together and donate SIX nonperishable food items to a local food bank, church or charity every time Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning throws a touchdown during the month of November!Yes, we realize, with the rate he’s throwing touchdowns (roughly three per game since he became a Denver Bronco), it’s likely that he will throw 15 by the end of the month. That would be a donation of 90 nonperishable food items, and that number seems absolutely staggering! Obviously, this is a rough time for people financially. Please know that it’s not how much you give, it’s the thought that counts. Maybe you can only donate one or two items, no worries! ANY donations would be appreciated!Perhaps you’re not a Broncos fan, or you know others who might want to participate, but aren’t Broncos fans … Please feel free to participate and make a commitment to your favorite quarterback—the biggest thing we need help with is spreading the news! Another way you can spread the news is by using the hashtags #TouchdownsToDriveOutHunger and #FeedTheNeedyWhenTheBroncosBeGettinGreedy on Twitter and Facebook. We are extra lucky this year because @5280shirtshop is accepting food donations at their store, located at 9910 E. Costilla Avenue, Suite F in Centennial, Colorado. Not only can you drop your donations off at the store, you can pick up some snazzy Colorado apparel there as well! Can you imagine the impact we could make in our communities if just 35 fans participated this Thanksgiving? We are blessed in so many ways to be fans of the greatest organization in all of sports."

Broncos Country has a chance to use its fandom for a great cause.

As Mike always says, Broncos Country isn’t just a phrase or place, it’s a way of life.

Let’s show those in need what that means.
