Broncos lead Seahawks in jersey sales

The Denver Broncos play the Seattle Seahawks this weekend in a Super Bowl rematch. While the Seahawks might have gotten the win last winter, the Broncos are still beating them in one category, jersey sales.

According to DICK’S Sporting Goods’ Jersey Report, which tracks jersey sales nationwide and online to compile their data, the Broncos jersey is still outselling the Seahawks jersey.

A small victory, but a victory nonetheless. The person we have to thank for the Broncos jersey outselling the Seahawks is exactly who you’d think was responsible, Peyton Manning.

So far this season the only jersey that is outselling Manning is that of Cleveland Browns clip board holder Johnny Manziel. The only Seahawks player in the top 10 is quarterback Russell Wilson, who comes in at No. 6. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has one of the hotter selling jerseys for a defensive player, coming it at No. 5 on the defensive players only list. It just goes to show you how much weight Manning is carrying.

Manning’s jersey sales have been steadily on the rise as the Broncos work towards another Super Bowl run.

Here is the Top Ten rundown by team, the Broncos sitting in third place with the Seahawks barely making the list.
