The Broncos kept Zac Dysert on the active roster all of last season, but I simply don’t think they can afford to do it this year. That’s easy to say right now, not having seen Dysert play any in the pre-season, but the fact remains that there’s too much talent on the roster to keep a guy who’s simply going to be inactive every week and never contribute.

The big risk with that is, you just never know what kind of emergency situations are going to arise. The Broncos could very well try and sneak one of Dysert or rookie UDFA Bryn Renner onto the practice squad, but if they are unable to do so, they’d be really screwed in case of desperate emergency.
