Preseason Week 1: Broncos vs Seahawks: Open Thread

facebooktwitterreddit

Welcome to our open thread. Gameday is finally here. Our beloved Denver Broncos will host the Seattle Seahawks tonight at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, in a preseason rematch of Super Bowl XLVIII. The game kicks at 7pm MST.

I don’t want to get too deep into hyperbole, but this game is important from a tonal, or mindset standpoint. The Broncos will be looking to set the tone for their entire season. That starts tonight.

As is our tradition, we’ll have this open thread going throughout the game. This is a great opportunity to engage with one another, as a community, and talk Broncos. We want to hear your thoughts, Broncos Country! Discussion will take place in the comment sections of this article.

Montee Ball will be out, due to his surgery for appendicitis. Chris Harris, Jr has also officially been ruled out. I’m surprised that Von Miller and Kevin Vickerson haven’t followed suit. Maybe we’ll see them in action tonight, but if we do, it won’t be much.

If you’re going to be attending the game, it looks like you better come prepared with an umbrella or rain poncho/jacket, because it’s going to rain.

Here’s to hoping for a healthy outing tonight. We’ve recently touched on a few players to watch tonight, as well as some specific storylines to keep an eye on. If you’re needing a reason to watch, we’ve got you covered. It’s Broncos football, ya’ll! That should be all we need to know, right?

PO will have a couple of staffers at the game, giving you their feedback live. And of course, following the game, we’ll have you covered with post-game reaction and analysis.

GO BRONCOS!!!
