On Wednesday, July 23, the coaches and players for the Denver Broncos will arrive a Dove Valley for training camp. For some of the players on the roster, it is the beginning of the end. With teams entering training camp with rosters capped at 90 players, but only capable of carrying 53 on the regular season active roster and 8 on the practice squad, obviously not everyone can make it.

For every position on the Broncos, there are some obvious players who are going to make the team and some who are fighting just to get a chance to make the practice squad. That is no different for the tight ends. One of the players who is guaranteed is coming off a breakout year, while a couple solid players may be on the bubble.

Under John Elway and John Fox the Broncos have carried four tight ends year after year. With Peyton Manning behind center, who relies often on the tight ends, I don’t see that changing.
