2014 NFL Draft: Denver Broncos Trade Up, Draft Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana

The Denver Broncos traded up with the San Francsico 49ers to acquire the 56th overall pick, and have selected Indiana WR Cody Latimer.

I have been banging the table for the Broncos to take a wide receiver in this year’s draft, and they traded up to do it. Latimer was getting a lot of first round love late in the process, and this is a phenomenal pick in my opinion.

The Broncos replace Eric Decker’s size on the edge with a big kid who can catch the ball at its highest point, and has more of a dynamic skill set than Decker coming out.

Latimer is going to be a stud in Denver and could see some time early in his career. Great pick.

I hate this pick. The broncos could have stayed. Picked up Borland. And filled a NEED for a starting player. Not a 4th to 5th string depth luxury. It just blows my mind they gave up three picks for a guy who’s going to sit on the bench.

Borland is not a quality NFL MLB, certainly not for 3 downs. I’d much rather see Nate Irving at MLB than Borland, and that’s without even considering it would take a draft pick to get Borland. No thanks.

Nate sucks at middle. Plane and simple. I’d agree with you if he was better. He is better as millers backup than anything.
