Denver Broncos players are taking to social media as team activities draw closer, and one player in particular who is letting his message be known is second year defensive tackle Sylvester Williams.

Williams came on slow as a rookie in 2013, but actually finished out the season pretty well. After Kevin Vickerson went down for the season with an injury, Williams was forced into more action and showed some nice signs of improvement in that time.

He finished his rookie campaign with 19 tackles and two sacks, and had three tackles in the playoffs. The Broncos drafted Williams in the first round out of North Carolina in 2013 with the thought that obviously he’d be one of the team’s cornerstone pieces on the defensive line for years to come.

He’s calling 2014 his year, and he’ll certainly have a chance to make his mark with Vickerson coming off of an injury that put him on IR last season. The Broncos are counting on big contributions from their 2013 draft class, which also includes projected starters Montee Ball and Kayvon Webster.
