Broncos' John Fox On The Mend, In Good Spirits According to Jack Del Rio

Everyone is so concerned with weekly injury reports. However, the one that we need to be most concerned with is John Fox’s.

Interim head coach Jack Del Rio was able to speak to Fox on the phone for 20 minutes three days after undergoing surgery to repair a defective heart valve.

“He sounded great,” Del Rio said. “He’s looking forward to getting out of ICU. He’s still in ICU but his spirits are really good. He feels a little tired, obviously, as he’s gone through quite a bit.”

Fox asked Del Rio about the team, and Del Rio assured him that the team would make him proud.

That has to be reassuring for the Broncos, who are without their leader.

On another note, the Broncos practiced without Champ Bailey and Duke Ihenacho on Thursday, which puts their game status into question.
