Yes, there’s a wide receiver that would jump Peyton Manning’s ship.
Denver Broncos 2013 fifth-round draft pick and practice squad member Tavarres King is considering jumping ship and swimming over to Aaron Rodgers’ boat. Rightfully so. The rookie would get a crack at the 53-man roster over there in Green Bay.
"I’d like to stay here. But we’re talking about a spot on the 53. It’s a business. We’re still trying to sort it all out. We probably won’t know until (Tuesday) morning. – Tavarres King (Denver Post)"
Packers starting receiver Randall Cobb is out for weeks with a knee injury. The team’s other top receiver, James Jones, also sustained a knee injury in week 6 and his status for this week is up in the air. That left the Packers with just two healthy receivers against the Ravens – Jordy Nelson and Jarrett Boykin.
King, a 6’0″ 191 receiver out of Georgia, ended his career there ranked third all-time in receiving touchdowns (21) and fourth in receiving yards (2,602)
