Knowshon Moreno’s 7 Total TDs Make Him NFL’s Best Scoring Back

Knowshon Moreno graded the Broncos’ offense, giving them a ‘C’ for their performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“”C’ is good enough,” Moreno said. “It was good enough today, but it’s not good enough to win games down the road.”

Moreno himself would get a higher grade than the team’s offense as a whole. He was particularly vital in the red zone, rushing for three touchdowns in the win over the Jaguars. The last time a Broncos’ back rushed for three scores was in 2005 when Tatum Bell did it against San Diego. Hard to believe it’s been that long considering the Broncos led the NFL in rushing two years ago.

Moreno has seven touchdowns on the season, which makes him the best scoring back in the league. He ties for the second most in club history through six games.

Moreno had 2.8 yards per carry on the day, which is down from his 5.1 average coming into the game. However, he got into the painted area when it counted, and that’s all the Broncos can ask for. “No Show” looks to be a thing of the past. Now it’s up to him and the football gods to stay healthy.
