Who Has a Worse Situation: Von Miller or Aldon Smith?

So Von Miller reportedly cheated on a urine test. Aldon Smith was arrested for suspicion of DUI just hours before he was scheduled to go to work after crashing his car into a tree.

Tracey Kaplan and Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News pointed out that marijuana (without prescription) and pills were found in the vehicle, and Smith’s blood alcohol level was tested at .15—nearly double the legal limit.

Up until this offseason, there wasn’t anyone in Bronco land who had a bad thing to say about Von Miller, but apparently he was deep in trouble with the NFL already, so much so that he was nearly suspended an entire season, according to reports.

Both Miller and Smith were taken in the 2011 NFL Draft in the top 10 picks, and both obviously have some serious drug issues.

Smith has been suspended by the 49ers indefinitely, while Miller was suspended by the NFL for the first six games of the season. Smith may be facing a suspension handed down by his 49ers superiors, but he is now a repeat offender and is also facing trouble with the NFL.

So, all of this being said, it’s fair to wonder which of these young star pass rushers has the worse situation right now, though neither are very good at all. In fact, both are downright shameful and very detrimental to their respective teams.

But everyone deserves a second–or third–chance.

Aldon Smith is in deeper Due Due.

Maybe they are going to mutually self destruct from association. Sometimes you see things that look troubling but you wonder if they really are. During the preseason when Aldon and Von exchanged jersey’s for some reason it didn’t seem right to me.

Aldon not only has to deal with his alcohol and drug problem. He is also facing a lawsuit against him for shooting a guest at his party with an illegally registered firearm, a party in which Aldon was stabbed in the back several times. Not only will it cost him a ton of money but he could end up doing time in prison.

Aldon in his apology to the team and family members pledged that it would never happen again. How many times have we heard that from Lindsey Lohan?

Aldon never shot anyone. He was stabbed and someone shot the prosecutor of the suit at his party. He did shoot a gun into the air, but that was after he was stabbed and most likely in self-defense.

It’s ridiculous that Marijuana isn’t allowed by the NFL. Apparently, a harmless pain killer that is impossible to overdose on is BAD, but pumping these guys full of prescription pain killers that have a higher rate of fatal overdose than Cocaine and Heroin combined is a good idea?

II think Miller, because another incident and he’s gone a whole year. And he isn’t attending any rehab like Aldon is.
