After last night’s 36-31 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants are in fight or flight mode heading into week two against the Denver Broncos.

After a six-turnover night, including two fumbles by starting running back David Wilson, the Giants have decided to work out running backs on Tuesday. It turns out that former Broncos running back Willis McGahee could be joining the team just in time for the week two Manning Bowl matchup.

Brandon Jacobs is also slated to workout on Tuesday.

Imagine seeing McGahee in different colors in week two. First it was Elvis Dumervil and Brandon Stokley in week one. Now, it could be the back that rushed for 1,930 yards and eight touchdowns in his two seasons (25 games) with the Broncos.

The Broncos held Ravens’ backs Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce to 3.0 and 2.2 yards per carry, respectively, in week one.

The Giants are playing without a signature back, which helps explain Eli Manning’s three interception night against Dallas. Bringing in someone like McGahee will help balance out the offense again.

According to Jason La Canfora, ex-New York Jet Joe McNight is also part of this group that will work out for the Giants.
