This is a question that has been burning on my mind for a while–can the Denver Broncos score 70 points in a game? I want to hear from all of you out there.

Here are some things to consider:

1. The Broncos scored 49 points in their first game.

2. Of those 49 points, 35 came in the second half alone.

3. Among the Broncos’ 49 points, not included was a pick-six by Danny Trevathan, a touchdown he decided to drop at the one-half yard line and give back to the Ravens.

4. The Broncos had 16 offensive possessions against the Ravens.

5. The Broncos’ longest scoring drive (in 7 TDs) lasted 2:30.

So, I’ll pose the question again–do you think the Broncos can score 70 points in a game this year?

On the right day they might be able to score 70 but I think they would have to make it a goal to actually do it. If the get close you’re probably looking at a game that is already a blowout after three quarters and there is no way the Broncos would leave Peyton Manning in the game in that situation.

I agree, I think it would depend on how quickly it happened and who they were playing.
