Denver Broncos To Face Baltimore Ravens or Indianapolis Colts

By about 2:30 p.m. MST, we’ll know who the Denver Broncos will face in the divisional round of the playoffs next Saturday. Because the Houston Texans took care of business and beat the Cincinnati Bengals, the Broncos will take on the winner of today’s Baltimore Ravens-Indianapolis Colts matchup.

After the Broncos won 11 straight games to enter the playoffs 13-3 overall and as the AFC’s No.1 seed, is the winner of today’s game really a winner?

The Broncos already beat the Ravens in Baltimore 34-17, handing them only their second home loss of the year. The team never saw the Colts first hand, but they’ve been the league’s story of the year with ChuckStrong and Andrew Luck leading the way.

Personally, even though the Ravens are always dangerous in the playoffs, there’s something to be said about facing an emotionally charged team such as the Colts. The Colts are playing for more than money, more than pride, more than the national attention they’re garnishing. They’re playing for their head coach Chuck Pagano who just months ago was in the hospital battling for his life. They’re playing because no one gave them a chance in the world to do something great, at least this season.

Make sure to watch this highly anticipated matchup. Kick off is set for 11:00 a.m. on CBS.
