Super Bowl In Denver OK'd By John Fox, Champ Bailey

With the news of the Denver Broncos and Mayor Michael Hancock submitting the initial paperwork for a Super Bowl bid in 2018, 2019, or 2020, there’s nothing but excitement in Broncos Country.

“If you’re going to play it in New York, Denver’s probably better than New York in February, so yeah why not,” Champ Bailey said of trying to get the big game in Denver.

As John Fox stood outside talking to the media after practice Thursday, the sun warmed his face.

“Look at the weather,” Fox said. “It’s almost December here. I think it’s one of the best kept secrets there are. We’ve got one of the nicest if not the nicest stadiums in the league. I think Denver’s a great town, it’s got great fans. There’d be great enthusiasm I know if we were fortunate to get it. I think the NFL would be very happy with it.”

It’s too bad more many steps need to be taken before the country’s biggest game is brought to the land of the Broncos.
