Elvis Dumevil’s game against the Carolina Panthers ended early – end of the first quarter early. With 47 seconds left in the opening quarter, Dumervil sacked Cam Newton and forced him to fumble. The Panthers recovered and were forced to punt on the ensuing play, but the damage was done.

Dumervil was seen holding his left shoulder. He did not return to the game, and an MRI Monday morning revealed that he did not tear anything in his shoulder. He will be day-to-day, head coach John Fox said Monday afternoon.

Dumervil had two tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble to help the Broncos’ defense kick start their day of domination.
