As a team going into the halfway mark of the season, all you can ask for is a a reasonable amount of success and a limited number of injuries. The Denver Broncos have had both. The injury bug has stayed well away from the Broncos with the exception of Joe Mays being lost to injured reserve last weekend.
Here is the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals:
Probable – S Mike Adams (knee), G Chris Kuper (forearm), TE Jacob Tamme (hip), QB Peyton Manning (thumb).
Out – CB Tracy Porter (illness).
Probable – WR Andrew Hawkins (knee), HB Brian Leonhard (ribs), C Jeff Faine (hamstring).
Out - WR Marvin Jones (knee), LB Dontay Moch (illness).
While the Broncos may have dodged a bullet by Manning’s thumb injury being nothing more than slight, Porter did not make the trip to Ohio as he is still dealing with complications from his seizure issue. All things considered, however, four players with minor nicks and cuts and one player dealing with an illness is a more than favorable report at this point in the season.
