Sunday’s big win in Broncos Country is followed by some big news on Monday.
Defensive tackle Ty Warren re-tore that same right triceps muscle that kept him out for all of last season. John Fox did not have the chance to speak with Warren prior to meeting with the media.
“One of the things that’s helped this off season is we’ve been able to add some more depth to that position,” Fox said. “We’ll adjust and next-man-up. ”
Warren has missed the past two seasons with a hip and triceps injury, respectively. It’s likely that he’s done for the season.
The Broncos also re-signed backup quarterback Caleb Hanie on Monday. The team released him on Saturday to save themselves $1 million from Hanie’s base salary and a $250,000 roster bonus. It was expected that they would re-sign him after their first game.
