Brandon Stokley Signs One-Year Deal With Broncos

The Denver Broncos have just signed wide receiver Brandon Stokley to a one-year contract.

Peyton Manning and Stokley were teammates in Indianapolis from 2003-2006. Stokley previously played for the Broncos for three seasons prior to joining the Seahawks in 2010, and the Giants in 2011 for two games.

The Broncos were looking for a slot receiver to fill the void that Eddie Royal’s departure left, and Stokley fits the need perfectly.

Stokley will turn 36 in June, but he’s got a wealth of experience in Manning’s system, and should help the younger wideouts adapt to the new offense.

Stokley’s best season came in ’04-’05 with the Colts when he had 68 receptions for 1,077 yards and 10 touchdowns. In his career, he has 339 receptions for 4,680 yards, and 34 touchdowns.
