Broncos Re-Sign Punter Colquitt

The Denver Broncos re-signed exclusive rights free agent Britton Colquitt on Wednesday according to Adam Schefter. The punter was one of the team’s unsung heroes from last season.

Colquitt was ranked 8th in yards per punt (47.4 yards). Not bad for a guy who was called out onto the field more than anyone except Rams’ punter Donnie Jones. Of his 101 punts, 32.6% landed inside the 20-yard line and 10.8% landed inside the 10-yard line.

Colquitt was part savior for an offense that often struggled with a stalled offense and too many three-and-outs.

Colquitt is entering his 4th year with the Broncos.
