Broncos Sign WR Andre Caldwell

On the same day that the Denver Broncos got rid of one former Florida Gator, they signed another. Tim Tebow out. Wide receiver Andre Caldwell in.

Caldwell was Tebow’s top receiver in 2007, his Heisman year. Obviously, he will be catching balls from a very different quarterback now.

Caldwell was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2008 draft. He had 37 receptions for 317 yards and 3 touchdowns in 13 games last season. His best season came in 2009 when he had 51 receptions for 451 yards and 3 touchdowns in 16 games. He has a career average of 21.2 yards on kick returns.

At 6’0″, 190 pounds, Caldwell should be able to fill the void left when Eddie Royal went to the Chargers.
