Touchdown Denver! Manning Chooses the Broncos

The wait is finally over, and the Broncos have signed the most coveted free agent of 2012, if not the entire history of the league.  Peyton Manning agreed to terms with Broncos on Monday, so let the fun begin! Kudos to John Elway and the rest of the Broncos’ leadership for pulling off an assignment that, up until a week ago, seemed nearly impossible and undesirable.

Despite the questions that arise due to Peyton’s neck injury, having a player of Peyton’s caliber and leadership in the locker room is nothing but positive for the Denver Broncos.  Those attributes, combined with his on-field experience and leadership, will make the Broncos an even better team.

Unfortunately, as Peyton and his family settle into the Rocky Mountain state, Tim Tebow‘s future with the Broncos may have taken a drastic turn.  I am not sure what John Elway will do regarding Tebow, but one thing is for sure, he will do what he feels is best for the Broncos and will help them win, now.  I would like to see Tebow remain on the roster, as all of us Broncos fans saw last season the excitement that a player like Tebow can create in a game.  A lot of owners in the NFL would probably love the opportunity to have a player like Tebow on their team.  The question those owners will have to answer will be, “what am I willing to give up?”  John Elway will make sure they give up something that helps the Broncos.

Division and conference championships are not the main goals… those are milestones enroute to the ultimate goal – winning Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, LA.  Even though games are not being played, the 2012 season has started, and the Broncos have just taken a huge step to make it another exciting year for Bronco fans!
