Josh McDaniels Officially Named Patriots' Offensive Coordinator

It was announced officially Monday that former Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels will take over as the New England Patriots offensive coordinator.

Bill O’Brien has been hired to replace the late Joe Paterno at Penn State which is why the Patriots brought McDaniels back for their playoff run as an offensive assistant. McDaniels spent less than two years as the head coach for the Broncos before becoming the offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams. In St. Louis, McDaniels led the Rams to a last place scoring offense.

This announcement was made just one day after the Patriots lost to the New York Giants 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI.
