Broncos McCoy Putting Energy Into Dolphins’ Job

Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy today has his second interview for the Miami Dolphins.

McCoy must believe that he’s head and shoulders above the rest of the candidates vying to take over the job since he withdrew his name from the Oakland Raiders coaching search. McCoy was set to meet with the Raiders Wednesday along with Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

The Dolphins also have their secondary coach Todd Bowles and Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin at the top of their list. The team really wanted Jeff Fisher, but Fisher decided to take his talents to St. Louis rather than to South Beach.

I am almost exited at the thought of Coach McCoy going to Miami, so that the Broncos get a chance to have a coach that isn’t scared to open the playbook a little more. Would like to see Tebow throw more short passes to our tight ends, as well as screen plays. Getting multiple targets involved would be beneficial to him, I believe.
