The Denver Broncos just had another one of their players added to the 2011 Pro Bowl roster. Brian Dawkins will join five other Broncos on this year’s AFC squad.
Dawkins recorded 51 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 forced fumble, but he missed most or all of the Broncos final six games of the season with a neck injury. Had the Broncos advanced past the New England Patriots, the 16-year safety reportedly would have tried to suit up.
This is the ninth Pro Bowl selection for Dawkins, and his second as a Bronco.
Dawkins will join Von Miller, Elvis Dumervil, Champ Bailey, Willis McGahee, and Ryan Clady in Hawaii next week, one week before the Super Bowl is played.
