Tim Tebow had more than one reason to cringe at the end of Saturday’s 45-10 loss to the New England Patriots. Not only did the loss end the Denver Broncos season, not only was it below 10 degrees outside, but Tebow was playing with a lot of discomfort after taking a hard hit in the third quarter of a game that was already over.
At the start of the third quarter, Tebow tore cartilage on his first rib where it attaches to his sternum, bruised his lung and had fluid buildup in the plural space of his chest, according to an NFL source. – Adam Schefter (ESPN)
It’s no wonder Tebow turned down CBS’s offer to join them in the studio of NFL Today during coverage of the conference championship game.
Tebow has literally been on the run since week 5, when Kyle Orton was benched in favor of the second year QB.
Tebow is going through rehab to mend the damage, and he is expected to start his off season training regimen on schedule.
