Brian Dawkins To Decide On Future In Offseason

Brian Dawkins missed four of the last five games for the Denver Broncos due to a neck injury. At 38 years old, the next season is never guaranteed.

“Like I always do, where I am in my career, obviously I’ll get down and get in some prayer, get away from the game a little bit and allow the Lord to talk to me and speak to me on what it is He would have me to do next,” he said. “If I decide that I’m listening and He tells me that another year is available for me and the Broncos want me back, then that will be the case.” – Brian Dawkins to DenverBroncos.com

Had the Broncos moved past the New England Patriots, it would have taken hell and high water to keep Dawkins off the football field.

John Fox told every one of his players to give themselves a nice long break in order to come back rejuvenated and ready to move closer to a Super Bowl championship next season.

For Dawkins, a nice an extended break is just what his body needs. He finished the year with 51 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
