Broncos Sign Long Snapper David Binn To Replace Paxton

The Denver Broncos were without a long snapper a little more than 24 hours from kickoff because Lonie Paxton is going to miss the game for personal reasons.

The Broncos didn’t have to look far for former AFC West long snapper David Binn. The team signed Binn on Friday and waived FB Austin Sylvester. Binn played for the San Diego Chargers from 1994-2010, playing in all but one game through 2009. Binn was released by the Bolts in 2010 after playing in just one game due to a hamstring injury.

Binn is the all-time leader in games played (256) for the Chargers, and he was with the team when they made their Super Bowl appearance. He also has 12 playoff games under his belt.

It’s been reported that Paxton is missing this game for family reasons.
