The role of the underdog has to be played by somebody. Usually it’s a role that’s frowned upon, but for the Denver Broncos, it may be the best thing for them.

“We’ve been underdogs all season and all we can do is just take it one game at a time,” Von Miller said.

The Broncos are 9-point underdogs this weekend when they host the 12-4 Pittsburgh Steelers, and the odds of them winning the Super Bowl is 120-1.

“Being the underdog is great,” Lance Ball concluded. “We’ve just got to take it day by day.”

Take it day by day, game by game. From here on out the Broncos season comes down to just one game. It’s an ‘us against the world’ mentality, but the Broncos don’t mind it at all.

“I think everybody in this locker room trusts one another and the camaraderie is at an all-time high,” Eric Decker said. “There’s no ‘me’ guys on this team.”

The key for the Broncos on Sunday will be to win the turnover battle.

“When we play no turnovers, create turnovers, I think we can beat anyone,” Elvis Dumervil said.

How’s that for being the underdog.
