Broncos’ Late Season Losses All Too Familiar
Fans of the Denver Broncos were hoping for an early Christmas present when the Broncos squared off against the struggling Buffalo Bills on Saturday, but they instead received a feeling more comparable to waking up with a New Year’s Day hangover. With a win against the Bills and a loss by the Oakland Raiders in Week 16, the Broncos would have wrapped up their first AFC West division title since 2005 and earn a spot in the 2011 NFL Playoffs. Neither of those things happened. The Broncos fell hard to the Bills in a 14-40 loss and the Raiders defeated [...]
Denver Broncos Drop To Buffalo Bills 40-14
Christmas didn’t come early for the Denver Broncos as they lost to Buffalo Bills 40-14. Denver was playing not to lose while Buffalo was playing to not move to Canada. The Oakland Raiders beat the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime to move into a tie for first place in the AFC West. A lot of possibilities still exist in terms of the AFC playoff race, but the main point to take away is if the Broncos beat the Chiefs next week, then they will go to the playoffs. Back to this afternoon’s game, however. The Broncos turnover trend continued as [...]
Merry Christmas Broncos Fans… Early?!
Bronco fans may get an early present wrapped in orange and blue later today in the form of an AFC West Championship if the Broncos can beat the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs handle the Oakland Raiders. Both games are set to kickoff at 11 am (Mountain Time) today. At the end of the day if the Broncos have claimed the divisional championship, that means next week’s season finale against Kansas City will be nothing more than a game to fine tune things. A win against the Chiefs could possibly improve the Broncos seeding in the AFC playoffs, [...]

Twas The Night Before Broncos Game Day
Twas the Night Before Game Day, when all through the land Not a seat was filled, on standby for fans. The jerseys were hung by lockers with care, In hopes that a win would soon be there. The Broncos were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of touchdowns danced in their heads. And Fox in his night cap, and Elway in his orange cap, Had jest settled their brains for a short Buffalo nap. When out in the snow there arose such a clatter. Two Johns sprang from their beds to see what was the matter. [...]
I don’t want to jump the gun too much on the playoffs, but this came from Pro Football Talk yesterday. If the final two weeks of the NFL season go more or less as expected, the Broncos will be the No. 4 seed in the AFC and the Steelers will be the No. 5 seed, which would mean Pittsburgh at Denver in the wild card round. – Pro Football Talk Should the Steelers travel to Denver for a playoff game that could mean that starting safety Ryan Clark may not play due to a medical condition that is affected by [...]
Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills: Game Preview
The game may be blacked out in Western New York, but that doesn’t mean the Broncos vs. Bills contest isn’t important. With a win here and a loss by Oakland, the Broncos will clinch a playoff berth – their first since 2005. The Bills lead the series 18-15-1, and they won their most recent matchup in 2008. The Broncos are coming off of a loss to the Patriots, but it’s the Bills that are on a greater downward slide with seven consecutive losses. Here’s a breakdown of the matchup: Offense Broncos: The Broncos can run all day long on the [...]
The Buffalo Bills have been a Jekyll and Hyde team this year winning their first five of seven and then losing seven straight. I needed to talk to someone in the know to find out just what has been going on with this team and how they will match up against the Broncos this Saturday. That’s why I asked Brad Andrews from BuffaLowDown to talk about the team that he knows best. He is the editor for the site and he knows the inner workings of the Bills better than most. Let’s got Inside the Villain’s Venue with BuffaLowDown. Q: [...]
Broncos Leave Snowy Denver For Bitter Buffalo
About a foot of snow fell in the Denver metro area forcing the Denver Broncos to move their practice indoors on Thursday. The team heads out to Buffalo today where they were expecting a rain/snow mix and a high temperature of 31 degrees. Welcome to December football, folks. Mario Haggan played in Buffalo for five seasons before coming to Denver, and he said that he’s never worn anything but short sleeves while playing. There are plenty of guys in Green Bay and Chicago that will only wear short sleeves even if temperatures dip into the single digits. What do coaches [...]
Bills’ Stevie Johnson Looks To Expose Broncos Secondary
The Broncos have played a slew of great wide receivers this season. From Wes Welker and Rob Gronkowski to Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Vincent Jackson, the Broncos’ secondary has been thoroughly challenged. This week is no different. The team faces Stevie Johnson who is averaging 62.3 yards per contest, and has 6 touchdowns on the season. “He’s tough,” Champ Bailey said. “I watched the Jets game and Chargers game. Their corners had a hard time with him.” Bailey will likely be matched up with Johnson on Saturday when the Broncos take on the Bills. At 6’2″, 210 lbs., he’s another [...]
