Broncos' Tebow Finishes Third In AFC QB Pro Bowl Voting

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has had plenty of reasons to celebrate in 2011, and now he can add to the list that fans want him in the NFL Pro Bowl game. (Associated Press)

The results are in for the fan portion of the NFL Pro Bowl voting process, and fans have decided that they want to see Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow as a representative of the team in Hawaii.  Tebow finished third among AFC quarterbacks behind New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.  Tebow received a total of 632, 912 votes.

Other Broncos players that had considerable votes from fans included rookie Von Miller, who finished second among AFC outside linebackers, Willis McGahee, who finished fifth among AFC running backs, Champ Bailey, who finished fourth among AFC cornerbacks, Brian Dawkins, who finished fourth among AFC safeties, and Britton Colquitt, who finished second among AFC punters.

Fan voting contributes to one-third of the results, with coaches and players each receiving one-third of the vote as well.  The final roster for the Pro Bowl will not be decided until coach and player votes are tallied and combined with the fan vote.

Let’s hope that though these players from the Broncos may be voted into the Pro Bowl, they will not be eligible to compete, as they will have a more important game to focus on playing in the next week.
