The Broncos will take flight tomorrow after practice, hitting the clouds early to take on the Buffalo Bills on Saturday.
Like in games past, John Fox has decided to take his team on the road a day sooner than he has to in order to get his team adjusted to a new time zone and take away some distractions.
The players don’t seem to mind. Tim Tebow thinks that the team is especially close this season because of the time they spend together on the road. Brian Dawkins thinks it’s good to get away early to harness focus for the game.
“I think it’s kind of good because you get away from the distractions, especially around the holiday time,” Dawkins said.
The Broncos are 5-2 on the road this year with both of their road losses coming early in the season. Fox takes his team to their away games early for very good reason.
“The team as a whole is together more time,” Fox said. “They’re forced to be with each other when we’re on the road. I think its brought us closer together as a football team. I think the focus is more there. You don’t have distractions this time of year. A lot of people have family, not that family is a distraction, but I think it gets them away in a setting where they can focus on what they’re doing.”
