Miller Named AFC Defensive Player Of The Week

It was announced today by the NFL that Denver Broncos rookie linebacker Von Miller has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 12 of the 2011 NFL season.  Miller earned a career high ten tackles in the 17-13 win over the New York Jets last Thursday night, along with 1.5 sacks, four quarterback hits, and a forced fumble.

Miller is the first rookie to win the award since Brian Cushing did so in 2009.  He is the first Broncos player to earn the award since Champ Bailey in 2009.

Congratulations to Von Miller on what has been an exceptional rookie campaign in 2011!
