Believe it or not Willis McGahee is listed as day-to-day despite having surgery on Monday to repair his broken fourth metacarpal. “He’ll be day to day,” John Fox said. “He didn’t participate today. We’ll see what it looks like tomorrow.” McGahee could be ready to go on Sunday against Detroit if he’s able to play without pain and if he can comfortably carry the ball with a wrapped hand. For 55 minutes, the Miami Dolphins had Tim Tebow on lockdown. He wasn’t able to lead the Broncos to any points, and he looked like a frantic quarterback that couldn’t throw the ball into the ocean if he were standing right next to it. What the Dolphins did was they played in a two-man coverage and then would rush three all while Jason Taylor was the “spy.” Taylor had Tebow zeroed in on most plays to contain his running ability. One of the more under appreciated positions in football is the tight end. Tight ends most often come through in critical times, on third downs or in the red zone. They have to be great receivers as well as great blockers to help the offense move the chains. The Broncos are rebuilding in that area.
