Broncos’ Dumervil Will Overcome Injuries According To Fox

Elvis Dumervil was limited in Friday’s practice and his game status is listed as questionable. This comes days after he was walking around Dove Valley with a heavily taped ankle. Dr. Doom suffered an ankle sprain in the big win over the Dolphins last week.

The ankle injury follows shoulder injury that forced him to miss two regular season games, after missing the entire season last year.

“Sometimes you go through cycles,” John Fox said. “It’s like turnovers, they come in bunches. Injuries are the same way.”

Dumervil has just 5 tackles and zero sacks this year. It’s hard to get on track when dealing with constant injuries.

“You don’t want to get negative about it,” Fox said. “He’s a tough minded guy, he’ll be fine.”

His presence against the Lions would be warmly welcomed. The 49ers and the Falcons beat the Lions this year by throwing an explosive pass rush at Matt Stafford.
