Broncos’ McGahee Could Potentially Play Against Lions

Believe it or not Willis McGahee is listed as day-to-day despite having surgery on Monday to repair his broken fourth metacarpal.

“He’ll be day to day,” John Fox said. “He didn’t participate today. We’ll see what it looks like tomorrow.”

McGahee could be ready to go on Sunday against Detroit if he’s able to play without pain and if he can comfortably carry the ball with a wrapped hand.

The Broncos will need McGahee on Sunday against the Lions who are giving up 129.4 yards per game.

“It’s a great challenge,” Tim Tebow said about Detroit’s defense. “They have a great front seven and their front four gets off the ball.”

That’s why both aspects of the Broncos offense need to be on point, and McGahee has been the Broncos star back this season. He’s averaging 4.5 yards per carry and 76.7 yards per game.
