Believe it or not there is another starting quarterback playing on Sunday, and that man is Matt Moore.
Matt Moore is starting for the Dolphins because Chad Henne got hurt and is done for the season. The consummate backup, Moore played for John Fox in Carolina from 2007-2010.
During his time there, Moore played in 16 games, starting 8 of them due to injuries to either David Carr, Josh McCown, or Jake Delhomme. He has 16 career touchdowns and 20 interceptions.
“I have a lot of respect for him, John Fox said Wednesday. “He’s very tough minded. He took a lot of hits Monday Night. He’ll bring his best for sure.”
The Dolphins passing offense is ranked 19th, but they have a good backfield with Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush taking the pressure off of Moore.
As we know, Moore has Brandon Marshall who is a big and athletic target down field. While the Miami crowd will have their eyes glued on home state boy, Tim Tebow, Moore is hoping to have the best game of his career.
At this point, Tim Tebow and Andrew Luck are on Florida’s brain. That’s just the anonymity that Moore likes, and perhaps needs to help the Dolphins win the first game of their season.
